Those Daffy, Laffy Clowns

Our most recent assignment was to animate a scene using Daffy Duck rolling around on a ball. I totally dreaded this assignment prior to receiving it , but actually, it's been my favourite of the semester. I had so much fun working with Daffy's model and trying to imitate the Warner Brothers style. I'm definitely going to continue to touch up this assignment in the next two weeks.

We Have to Get to the Cinematheque

Okay, so it's only sort of a cinematheque... but it's in the same vein. And that was actually just a line from a Harvey Danger song I like. This layout was for our modern city assignment. It's definitely not very cleaned up, or even finished, for that matter; but, I really liked the idea, which, was an old cinema in modern city. Maybe I'll work a little more on it when I get some time.

Making Something, for a Change

Haven't posted much animation yet from this semester, so here is our most recent assignment using Lilo. It still needs to be tweaked, but time ran out; though, I think I'm going to go back to work on it at the end of the semester.

Walk, Monster!

Been a little slack on updates, but here's an attempt at a walk cycle using TVPaint. Nothing special, but it was really fun working with that program.

Rocket!

First try using TV Paint. The way this rocket turned out was a bit of a stretch from my initial idea, but it turned out, nonetheless, and I had fun trying brushes.

Final Animation

So here is my final animation of second semester, and essentially, of first year. The assignment was to choose a character and have him attacked by a smaller secondary character. The main character should jump around and whatnot whilst music is playing in the background, so, here is my attempt at this assignment. Oh, and the song I chose is called "Villains" by the band Mad Caddies. If you like the way they sound, I suggest you check them out.



Currently listening: So during everything I've posted this afternoon, I've been listening to one of my favourite bands, The Slackers. They're a really killer ska band from New York, and I definitely recommend listening to some of their records (my personal choice being "Redlight").
